Help Alison Crawford Make Every Mile Count!
Accelerate the fight against ALS with ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½!
This is Alison’s first marathon and her first opportunity to combine two major passions of her life – nonprofit organizations and fitness. Since graduating college, Alison has spent her career working in a variety of healthcare and science-related nonprofit organizations. She currently works at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA a uniquely impactful research and education lab with a deep soul, and more than 60 Nobel Prize winners associated with its education and research programs.
Alison believes strongly in encouraging young generations today to explore their interests and curiosities in basic biology and other areas of science in hopes that their discoveries will impact generations to come. Each lab or classroom holds the hearts and minds of students who will discover cures to ALS, Cancer, Dementia, Parkinson’s, and many other diseases impacting loved ones from families around the world. She is excited (and nervous!) for this opportunity to raise funds for ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ while also running her first marathon in New York City.
“When I first learned of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ I was blown away by the strides it has made over the last decade to search for effective treatments for ALS. I feel connected to its efforts to encourage collaboration among researchers and academia and industry… I am very grateful and excited for this opportunity to raise money for target ALS and I hope you’ll consider donating what you can, to help beat ALS and support me for my first marathon.â€
